STAM support and participate in the European Defence Action Plan, both for research and industrial development, through the European Defence Fund (EDF). As part of the DG DEFIS Expert Group Stam contributed to the EDF interim assessment and to the shape of the European Defence Industry Strategy.

STAM experience builds on 20 years of support to big players in the space and defence fields, where engineering services were tailored to the needs of long-term national and international programmes.

STAM was indeed founded in 1997 thanks to the seed funding provided by the European Space Agency (ESA) Technology Transfer Programme to develop an innovative gearbox system. Since then, the company has been successfully collaborating with the ESA in the development of devices for soil investigation, servo-actuators, hermetic sealing systems and test rigs.

Our Scientific Advisor and Business Coach, Franco Malerba – Italy’s first astronaut – brings invaluable expertise to our space initiatives.

Thanks to its number of R&D projects, STAM could establish successful collaborations and partnerships with national and international key players in the space and defence fields.
