CROSS CUTTING
Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020) – in addition to the private investment that this money will attract. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market.
Seen as a means to drive economic growth and create jobs, Horizon 2020 has the political backing of Europe’s leaders and the Members of the European Parliament.
By coupling research and innovation, Horizon 2020 is helping to achieve this with its emphasis on excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal challenges. The goal is to ensure Europe produces world-class science, removes barriers to innovation and makes it easier for the public and private sectors to work together in delivering innovation.
As the overall success rate of eligible full proposals is 12.6% for the first 3 years of H2020’s implementation, it is essential to be one step ahead and prepare for the forthcoming challenges from 2018 to 2020. Fully understanding the new scheme of H2020 and its participation and administrative rules, as well as the expectations of the European Commission is a key asset for organizations that wish to participate in projects.
Thanks to our large experience developed through years of on-field learning, STAM has gained a deep and large knowledge on funding schemes. As many of our clients already relied on us to ease their entrance in the co-funding instruments panorama, in recent years we have formalized what we have learned in tailored lessons.
With our first-hand experience, the feedback gathered and the lessons-learned based on these first calls, we have refined the content of our courses to deliver the most relevant and precise information and tips that will help clients in preparing and writing winning proposals and manage their projects efficiently.
They are tailored for participants from research organizations, SMEs, industry and public administrations who are either new to EU research programmes or who are experienced in EU projects under the previous Framework Programmes.
Our courses will start from how an idea is born and how to create the perfect consortium, proceeding through how to structure a proposal, keeping in consideration the evaluation criteria and process (as many of our managers have also been evaluators) and finishing with how to draft a project budget and business plan.
Our trainers are project coordinators and managers who have years of practical experience and knowledge in previous and ongoing collaborative projects.
